As a child, I was often frustrated that no one would answer when I asked “why?” I want to be the person to explain the many whys of childhood to as many children as possible! An older sister since I was four years old, I grew up being expected to be the example for my younger brother and the flock of younger friends I acquired. Luckily, that has fostered a love for helping those who need guidance or advice. In high school, I lead 8 different workshops for children in elementary and middle school, and created a summer camp for grades 3-8 as my senior project. In the summer of 2024, I was an Education Intern at Seattle Children’s Theatre. That experience completely confirmed that education is the right path for me—even when I was completely exhausted, I found joy in helping the kiddos learn and play. My passion for educating young minds is nothing new, but I find that it is a fire within me that cannot be extinguished.
